How It Works

Booking your family session is simple:

  1. Review the session options above and choose the session type that is right for your family.

  2. Select a date and time and follow the prompts below to reserve your session.

  3. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with next steps, location suggestions, and a short questionnaire to help me prepare for your shoot.

  4. Payment isn’t collected at the time of booking. You’ll be invoiced after your session once your gallery is ready for delivery.

This process keeps everything relaxed and lets you focus on choosing the best time for your family. I’ll take care of the rest.

What to Expect on the Day of Your Session

Your family portrait session is designed to be relaxed, fun, and comfortable for everyone involved. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect:

    Kids don’t have to stand still or smile on command—I work with their energy and personalities to create authentic moments.

  • Light direction throughout
    I’ll guide you into flattering poses and natural interactions, but never anything stiff or overly formal.

    Depending on your chosen session type, we’ll capture group portraits, smaller combinations, individual shots, and plenty of candid moments.

  • Natural transitions and breaks
    If little ones need a moment to reset, that’s completely normal. I work at a pace that keeps everyone comfortable.

  • Simple, stress-free experience
    Your only job is to show up and enjoy your family. I’ll handle the rest—from the flow of the session to the final delivery.

After your session, I’ll begin the editing process. Your gallery will be delivered within the timeframe listed in your chosen package.

 

Rescheduling & Weather Policy

Life happens, and I understand things come up—especially with kids. If you need to reschedule, please reach out as soon as possible and I’ll do my best to accommodate a new date.

Oregon weather can be unpredictable. Please know:

  • Light rain or passing clouds are completely workable (and can look beautiful).

  • If conditions are severe or unsafe, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

  • If the weather is looking like it might be unworkable, I’ll be in touch the day before and the morning of your session to discuss the forecast and determine whether rescheduling is needed.
